Hands On Primary was created by Fabienne, a qualified primary teacher, arts specialist and mum, to help families enjoy meaningful, creative learning together.

Our downloadable learning packs combine beautiful design with carefully planned educational experiences, making it easy to bring inspiring art, creativity and curiosity into everyday family life. Whether you have twenty minutes after school, a rainy afternoon, or you're home educating over several weeks, our resources are designed to fit around real homes and real children.

More than a printable

Hands On Primary isn't simply a collection of worksheets or craft ideas.

Each learning pack is a thoughtfully planned journey, bringing together artist studies, art appreciation, practical making, observation, discussion, play and cross-curricular learning into one flexible resource.

Alongside creative projects, you'll find carefully selected vocabulary, printable templates, parent guidance, opportunities to explore STEAM concepts, and activities that encourage children to look closely, think deeply and create with confidence.

That's why every pack is designed to remove the planning while keeping the joy of discovery.

You don't need specialist knowledge, expensive materials or a background in art. You don't need to print every page or complete every activity.

Why we believe art matters

We believe arts education is not secondary to the curriculum - it is an essential part of it.

Art teaches children to observe carefully, ask questions, solve problems, experiment, communicate ideas and express themselves with confidence. It helps them understand different cultures, perspectives and histories, while developing patience, resilience and creative thinking.
